PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN
Christian education for children and youth is offered during our main 10:15 service. We begin in the church to hear the Scripture for the day, and then gather down in the parish hall after the reading of the Gospel.
The Elementary school class uses a combination of Godly Play and David Cook’s curriculum. Godly Play is a Montessori-based exploration of Bible stories. Cook’s elementary curriculum offers fun, engaging crafts and resources to connect kids to their faith.
First Communion: Episcopalians believe that all the baptized can receive the Eucharist, regardless of their age. However, a class on the Eucharist can be offered by the priest for parents who wish their children to prepare for a First Communion.
Confirmation Classes are offered once a year for parishioners age 16 or older who wish to make a public adult confession of faith before the Bishop and the wider diocesan community.
